Business Groups/Product Platforms ABI segments its products into four distinct business groups, each providing convenient platforms for future growth. The four business units are: Dairy Group (manufactured products) - includes ABI’s anti-caking systems, sold into the cheese industry. This group also encompasses extender products which lengthen the shelf life of specific food products. Bakery Group (manufactured products) - includes baking powders, dusting starches (for products such as Chinese noodles), Batch Paks (specialty blends for tortilla manufacturers) and liquid preservatives which are also formulated for tortilla manufacturers. Specialty Products Group (manufactured products) - includes laundry starches, tableting and other blends for the pharmaceutical industry, as well as adhesives used in manufacturing of cardboard boxes. This group also incorporates all ABI toll blending activities. Ingredients Group (distributed products) - involves all "buy and resell" products that are handled by ABI through the Industrial Ingredients, Inc. (III) division.
