Mississippi Blending Company (directions) Mississippi Blending Company (MBC) was originally formed to manufacture food grade dusting starches for its sister distribution company (Industrial Ingredients Inc). The Keokuk operation has since expanded its manufacturing capabilities to a wide variety of products. From the Keokuk Iowa facility, MBC provides high quality blended products to the food, industrial, pharmaceutical and nutritional markets. MBC serves these customers with expertise in product development, blending, manufacturing, packaging and distribution services. Additionally, MBC produces laundry starches. In 2006, MBC added to its portfolio of products and capabilities for the tortilla market in support of the customers acquired and generated by the acquisition of the Ingredients Unlimited and Del Rancho businesses. MBC encompasses a 38,000 square foot facility situated on seven acres. There are three blending lines that can accommodate various batch sizes from 200 lbs to 12,000 lbs. The modern production lines are equipped for bag-in-bag packaging, fiber drums, poly-lined boxes, 25-50 lb valve bags, and super sacks to 2,000 lbs. Recent plant expansions have bumped capacity 35% over the past 2 years, giving MBC the capability to easily meet its continued growth trends.
